Social media is going through a period of change. From increased scrutiny by the government and other entities, lawsuits and the mounting impact of artificial intelligence, changes in the industry can be hard to keep up with. Professionals who want to keep their skills up-to-date may find conferences a valuable tool, whether to hear from the top voices in the field, hone their skills or to simply connect with other people in the social media space.
From broader marketing conferences to those dedicated to topics such as the creator economy, there is no shortage of events for interested professionals to attend. Areas of focus include the creator economy, brand building, leveraging data and more.
Below, Social Media Today has compiled some of the top conferences to look forward to in 2027, with the first slated for March. We will continue to update this list as additional details and events are announced.

The conference, hosted by Adweek, covers how brands show up on social media. Past speakers include Dhar Mann, founder of Dhar Mann Studios and Tefi Pessoa, content creator and podcast host.
Content stages will focus on future creativity and brand building, data analytics and media innovation. Attendees can participate in networking events, talks and hear about real-world case studies. Previous speakers include Mary Ellen Coe, chief business officer, YouTube and actor Terry Crews.
Topics planned for this event include AI and automation, search and advertising, omnichannel marketing and the creator economy. Companies represented include The Estée Lauder Companies, WordPress and Breitling.

VidCon, an event catering to creators, is joining forces with Lions, the organizer of Cannes Lions, to create VidCon x Lions Creators. The conference, which is part of the new Insight to Impact event, is set to take place in Nashville, Tennessee, moving from its previous home in Anaheim, California.
Informa, which owns a controlling stake in Marketing Dive’s publisher Informa TechTarget, is also invested in Lions. Informa has no influence over Marketing Dive’s coverage.
