Pinterest has set the date for its annual Pinterest Presents showcase, where it will share insights into its latest advertiser developments and usage trends.

The online event will be held Sept. 17, and will feature a range of presenters, including internal experts and users. The showcase could be a valuable rundown of marketer-relevant notes.

As explained by Pinterest: “You’ll discover best practices for growing your business, hear our latest product announcements and leave with essential tips from industry leaders.”
Pinterest said the event will be available in multiple languages, with all sessions recorded and available to play back later.
It could be worth signing up and tuning in.
Pinterest has seen significant growth in shopping interest lately, with the platform now up to 640 million monthly active users, rising 11% year-over-year.

That’s a significant audience of shopping-focused users. With Pinterest also continuing to improve its discovery and product matching tools, there are now more opportunities than ever to connect with highly targeted audiences in the app.
Pinterest has also made a point of promoting its anti-online approach, by encouraging people to get outside and try new things, framing the app as a key discovery platform for offline projects. That may seem counterintuitive, but the aim is to better align the platform with the rising tide of anti-algorithm sentiment. To that end, showcasing Pins works as a means to discover all sorts of interesting projects and trends that are applicable in real life, rather than limited to the online world.
It’ll be interesting to see how Pinterest looks to frame its announcements around this, and around personal discovery versus the rise of artificial intelligence-powered tools.
