Meta's looking to make it easier for businesses to tap into WhatsApp as a customer connection and support channel, with the launch of a new process that will enable brands to utilize third-party artificial intelligence tools to set up automated agent profiles and responses in the messaging app.

The new WhatsApp Business Tools MCP enables marketers to connect their AI chatbot tool of choice into the WhatsApp Business Platform. The WhatsApp Business Tools MCP enables creation across a range of in-app functions.

The process aims to make it easier to create various business workflow processes on WhatsApp without requiring in-depth coding knowledge.

This could be worth considering. WhatsApp usage has been steadily rising as more people turn to private online discussion, as opposed to public engagement on social media.

That could facilitate more direct engagement with customers. In addition, providing automated workflows and response systems may help to improve performance through always-on systems that can process queries.
